Quickstart
1. Install
Linux or macOS:
curl -fsSL https://rilbo.com/install.sh | shThe script detects your OS and architecture, downloads the matching release, and installs rilbo to /usr/local/bin (or ~/.local/bin). Prebuilt binaries for every platform are on the download page, along with Docker instructions once downloads open.
2. First run
rilbo serveThe first launch opens a short setup wizard — set your name, email, and optionally a password (which switches the app to password authentication). Everything is stored locally in a single SQLite database at ~/.rilbo/rilbo.db.

MCP HTTP: http://127.0.0.1:7373/mcpFrom the dashboard, create your first team and add issues. The board view supports quick-add with inline tokens — type Fix login flake !high #bug due:friday and priority, labels and due date are parsed straight out of the title. Press ? anywhere for the full keyboard shortcut sheet, or Ctrl/⌘ K for the command palette.
3. Connect an AI agent (MCP)
Rilbo has a built-in MCP server, over stdio and Streamable HTTP. For a stdio client like Claude Code:
claude mcp add rilbo -- rilbo mcp-stdioFor HTTP clients, point them at http://127.0.0.1:7373/mcp.
On the Free plan agents get the full set of read tools. A Pro licence unlocks the write tools — create and update issues, transitions, comments, attachments and more — along with the dry_run previews of them. See MCP & agents for tool scopes, propose-writes mode and the full tool list.
4. Go Pro
Buy a licence on the pricing page (coming soon), then install it:
rilbo license import license.json
rilbo license show…or paste it into Settings → Licence in the web UI. Rilbo verifies the licence offline against a built-in key — no account, nothing phones home. See licensing & plans for the full model.
